05. శ్రీ భగవానువాచ
బహుని మే వ్యతీతాని జన్మాని తవ చార్జున |
తాన్యహం వేద సర్వాణి న త్వం వేత్త పరన్తప
🌷. తాత్పర్యం :
దేవదేవుడైన శ్రీకృష్ణుడు పలికెను : ఓ పరంతపా! నీకును మరియు నాకును పలుజన్మలు గడిచినవి. నాకు అవియన్నియును జ్ఞప్తియందున్నవి. కాని నీవు వానిని జ్ఞప్తి యందుంచు కొనజాలవు.
🌷. భాష్యము :
శ్రీకృష్ణభగవానుని అనేకానేక అవతారములను గూర్చిన సమాచారము బ్రహ్మసంహిత(5.33) యందు మనకు లభించుచున్నది. దాని యందు ఇట్లు తెలుపబడినది.
అద్వైతమచ్యుతమనాదిమనన్తరూపమ్
ఆద్యం పురాణపురుషం నవయౌవనం చ |
వేదేషు దుర్లభ మదుర్లభ మాత్మభక్తౌ
గోవిందం ఆదిపురుషం తమహం భజామి
“అద్వితీయుడును, అచ్యుతుడును, అనాదియును అగు దేవదేవుడైన గోవిందుని(శ్రీ కృష్ణుని) నేను భజింతును. అతడు అనంతరూపములలోనికి అదే ఆదిపురుషునిగా, అనాదిగా మరియు నిత్యయౌవనములో అలరారువానిగా భాసించును. భగవానుని అట్టి సచ్చిదానందవిగ్రహరూపములు వేదంవేత్తలకు సాధారణముగా దుర్లభములైనను, శుద్ధభక్తులకు మాత్రము స్వయముగా ప్రకటితమగుచుండును.”
అదే బ్రహ్మసంహిత(5.39) యందు ఈ క్రింది విషయము కూడా తెలుపబడినది.
రామాదిమూర్తిషు కలానియమేన తిష్ఠన్
నానావతార మకరోద్భువనేషు కింతు |
కృష్ణ: స్వయం సమభవత్పరమ: పుమాన్ యో
గోవిందం ఆదిపురుషం తమహం భజామి ||
“రామ, నృసింహాది పలు అవతారములను, ఇతరములైన అనేక అంశావతారములను ధరించువాడును మరియు ఆదిదేవుడైన శ్రీకృష్ణునిగా తెలియబడుచు స్వయముగా అవతరించెడివాడును అగు గోవిందుని(శ్రీకృష్ణుని) నేను భజింతును.
భగవానుడు అద్వితీయుడని తెలియబడినను అసంఖ్యాక రూపములలోనికి ప్రకటితమగుచుండునని వేదము లందు తెలుప బడినది. పలురంగులు మార్చినను వాస్తవమునకు మార్పురహితముగా నుండు వైడుర్యముతో అతనిని పోల్చవచ్చను. ఆ నానావిధ రూపములన్నియును విశుద్ధభక్తులకే సంపూర్ణముగా అవగతమగును. కేవలము వేదాధ్యయనముచే అవి అవగతము కావు ( వేదేషు దుర్లభం అదుర్లభం ఆత్మ భక్తౌ). అర్జునుని వంటి భక్తులు శ్రీకృష్ణభగవానుని నిత్యసహచరులు. భగవానుడెప్పుడు అవతరించినను వివిధస్థాయిలలో అతని సేవ కొరకు ఆ నిత్యసహచరులైన భాకులును అవతరింతురు.

05. śrī-bhagavān uvāca
bahūni me vyatītāni janmāni tava cārjuna
tāny ahaṁ veda sarvāṇi na tvaṁ vettha paran-tapa
🌷 Translation :
The Personality of Godhead said: Many, many births both you and I have passed. I can remember all of them, but you cannot, O subduer of the enemy!
🌷 Purport :
In the Brahma-saṁhitā (5.33) we have information of many, many incarnations of the Lord. It is stated there:
advaitam acyutam anādim ananta-rūpam
ādyaṁ purāṇa-puruṣaṁ nava-yauvanaṁ ca
vedeṣu durlabham adurlabham ātma-bhaktau
govindam ādi-puruṣaṁ tam ahaṁ bhajāmi
“I worship the Supreme Personality of Godhead, Govinda [Kṛṣṇa], who is the original person – absolute, infallible, without beginning. Although expanded into unlimited forms, He is still the same original, the oldest, and the person always appearing as a fresh youth. Such eternal, blissful, all-knowing forms of the Lord are usually not understood by even the best Vedic scholars, but they are always manifest to pure, unalloyed devotees.”
It is also stated in Brahma-saṁhitā (5.39):
rāmādi-mūrtiṣu kalā-niyamena tiṣṭhan
nānāvatāram akarod bhuvaneṣu kintu
kṛṣṇaḥ svayaṁ samabhavat paramaḥ pumān yo
govindam ādi-puruṣaṁ tam ahaṁ bhajāmi
“I worship the Supreme Personality of Godhead, Govinda [Kṛṣṇa], who is always situated in various incarnations such as Rāma, Nṛsiṁha and many subincarnations as well, but who is the original Personality of Godhead known as Kṛṣṇa, and who incarnates personally also.”
In the Vedas also it is said that the Lord, although one without a second, manifests Himself in innumerable forms. He is like the vaidūrya stone, which changes color yet still remains one. All those multiforms are understood by the pure, unalloyed devotees, but not by a simple study of the Vedas (vedeṣu durlabham adurlabham ātma-bhaktau). Devotees like Arjuna are constant companions of the Lord, and whenever the Lord incarnates, the associate devotees also incarnate in order to serve the Lord in different capacities.
