22. న మే పార్థాస్తి కర్తవ్యం త్రిషు లోకేషు కించన |
నానవాప్తమవాప్తవ్యం వర్త ఏవ చ కర్మణి ||
🌷. తాత్పర్యం :
ఓ పార్థా! నాకు నిర్దేశింపబడిన కర్మము ముల్లోకములలో ఏదియును లేదు. నేను కోరునది కాని, పొందవలసిన కాని ఏదియును లేకున్నను విహితకర్మల యందు నేను నియుక్తుడనై యున్నాను.
🌷. భాష్యము :
వేదవాజ్మయమునందు భగవానుడు ఈ విధముగా వర్ణింపబడినాడు.
తం ఈశ్వరాణాం పరమం మహేశ్వరం తం దేవతానాం పరమం చ దైవతమ్ |
పతిం పతీనాం పరమం పరస్తాద్ విదామదేవం భువనేశమీడ్యమ్ ||
న తస్యకార్యం కరణం చ విద్యతే న తత్సమ శ్చాభ్యధికశ్చ దృశ్యతే |
పరాస్య శక్తి ర్వివిదైవ శ్రూయతే స్వాభావికీ జ్ఞానబాలక్రియా చ ||
“భగవానుడు నియామకులందరికీ నియామకుడైనట్టివాడు. అతడు సమస్త లోలపాలకులలో అతిఘనుడైనవాడు. ప్రతియొక్కరు అతని ఆధీనములో నున్నవారే. జీవులందరి ఆ భగవానుడే వివిధ శక్తులను ప్రదానము కావించియున్నాడు. కనుక ఆ జీవులెన్నడును స్వతః ఘనులు కాజాలరు.
సమస్త దేవతలచే పూజింపబడు ఆ భగవానుడు నిర్దేశించు వారందరికి పరమ నిర్దేశకుడు. కావున అతడు సమస్త లోకపాలకులకు మరియు నియామకులకు అతీతుడైనట్టివాడు. అంతియేగాక వారందరిచే అతడు పూజనీయుడై యున్నాడు. అతని కన్నను ఘనుడెవ్వరును లేరు మరియు అతడే సర్వకారణములకు ఆదికారణుడై యున్నాడు.”
“ఆ భగవానుడు సాధారణ జీవుని దేహము వంటి దేహమును కలిగియుండడు. అతని దేహము మరియు ఆత్మలకు భేదము లేదు. పరంపురుషుడైన అతని ఇంద్రియములు దివ్యములు. అతని ఏ ఇంద్రియమైనను ఇతరేంద్రియ కార్యము చేయగల సామర్థ్యమును కలిగియుండును. కావున అతని కంటె ఘనుడు గాని లేడు. అతని శక్తులు అనేకములగుటచే అతని కర్మలన్నియును అప్రయత్నముగా సహరీతిలో నిర్వహింపబడుచుండును.” (శ్వేతాశ్వతరోపనిషత్తు 6.7-8).
భగవానుని యందు ప్రతిదియు సమగ్రముగాను మరియు సత్యముగాను నెలకొనియుండుట వలన అతడు నిర్వహింపవలసిన కర్మమేదియును లేదు.
ఫలము గోరువానికి మాత్రమే చేయవలసిన కర్మ యుండును. కాని ముల్లోకములయందు ఏదియును పొందవలసినది లేనివానికి నిక్కముగా ఎట్టి కర్మయు ఉండదు. అయినను శ్రీకృష్ణభగవానుడు క్షత్రియులకు నాయకుని రూపున కురుక్షేత్రరణరంగమున కార్యోన్ముఖుడయ్యెను. ఏలయన దీనులకు మరియు దుఃఖితులైనవారికి రక్షణము గూర్చుట క్షత్రియుల ధర్మమై యున్నది. తానూ శాస్త్రవిధులకు అతీతుడై యున్నను శాస్త్రములను భంగపరచు దేనినైనను శ్రీకృష్ణభగవానుడు ఒనరింపడు.

22. na me pārthāsti kartavyaṁ triṣu lokeṣu kiñcana
nānavāptam avāptavyaṁ varta eva ca karmaṇi
🌷Translation :
O son of Paṛthā, there is no work prescribed for Me within all the three planetary systems. Nor am I in want of anything, nor have I a need to obtain anything – and yet I am engaged in prescribed duties.
🌷 Purport :
The Supreme Personality of Godhead is described in the Vedic literatures as follows:
tam īśvarāṇāṁ paramaṁ maheśvaraṁ
taṁ devatānāṁ paramaṁ ca daivatam
patiṁ patīnāṁ paramaṁ parastād
vidāma devaṁ bhuvaneśam īḍyam
na tasya kāryaṁ karaṇaṁ ca vidyate
na tat-samaś cābhyadhikaś ca dṛśyate
parāsya śaktir vividhaiva śrūyate
svābhāvikī jñāna-bala-kriyā ca
“The Supreme Lord is the controller of all other controllers, and He is the greatest of all the diverse planetary leaders. Everyone is under His control. All entities are delegated with particular power only by the Supreme Lord; they are not supreme themselves. He is also worshipable by all demigods and is the supreme director of all directors. Therefore, He is transcendental to all kinds of material leaders and controllers and is worshipable by all. There is no one greater than Him, and He is the supreme cause of all causes.
“He does not possess a bodily form like that of an ordinary living entity. There is no difference between His body and His soul. He is absolute. All His senses are transcendental. Any one of His senses can perform the action of any other sense. Therefore, no one is greater than Him or equal to Him. His potencies are multifarious, and thus His deeds are automatically performed as a natural sequence.” (Śvetāśvatara Upaniṣad 6.7–8)
