17. అవినాశి తు తద్విద్ధి యేన సర్వమిదం తతం |
వినాశమవ్యయస్యాస్య న కశ్చిత్ కర్తుమర్హతి ||
🌷. తాత్పర్యం :
శరీరమందంతటను వ్యాపించియున్న ఆత్మా నశింపు లేనటువంటిదని నీవు తెలిసికొనుము. అట్టి అవినాశియైన ఆత్మను నశింపజేయుటకు ఎవ్వడును సమర్థుడు కాడు.
🌷. భాష్యము :
శరీరమంతటను వ్యాపించి యున్నటు వంటి ఆత్మ యొక్క నిజతత్త్వమును ఈ శ్లోకము మరింత స్పష్టముగా వివరించుచున్నది.
దేహమందంతటను వ్యాపించి యున్నదేదో ఎవ్వరును అవగతము చేసికొనగలరు. అదియే చైతన్యము. కనుకనే దేహమునందలి ఒక భాగమున లేదా సంపూర్ణ దేహమున కలుగు సుఖదు:ఖములను ప్రతియెక్కరు తెలియగలుగుచున్నారు.
కాని ఈ చైతన్యము మనుజుని దేహము వరకు మాత్రమే పరిమితమై యున్నది. ఒక దేహపు బాధలు మరియు సుఖములు వేరొక దేహమునకు తెలియవు. కనుకనే ప్రతిదేహము ఒక జీవాత్మ యొక్క ఆచ్చాదనయై యున్నది. అట్టి దేహమునందు ఆత్మా యొక్క ఉనికి చైతన్యము ద్వారా అనుభూత మగును. ఈ ఆత్మ కేశాగ్రపు పదివేల వంతు పరిమాణము కలదిగా వర్ణింపబడినది.

🌴 Chapter 2 - Sankhya Yoga - 17 🌴
17. avināśi tu tad viddhi yena sarvam idaṁ tatam vināśam avyayasyāsya na kaścit kartum arhati
🌷Translation :
That which pervades the entire body you should know to be indestructible. No one is able to destroy that imperishable soul.
🌷Purport :
This verse more clearly explains the real nature of the soul, which is spread all over the body. Anyone can understand what is spread all over the body: it is consciousness. Everyone is conscious of the pains and pleasures of the body in part or as a whole.
This spreading of consciousness is limited within one’s own body. The pains and pleasures of one body are unknown to another. Therefore, each and every body is the embodiment of an individual soul, and the symptom of the soul’s presence is perceived as individual consciousness.
