47. సంజయ ఉవాచ
ఏవముక్త్వార్జున: సంఖ్యే రథోపస్థ ఉపావిశత్ |
విసృజ్య సశరం చాపం శోకసంవిగ్నమానస: ||
🌷. తాత్పర్యం :
సంజయుడు పలికెను: రణరంగమునందు అర్జునుడు ఆ విధముగా పలికి ధనుర్భాణములను పడవేసి దుఃఖముచే కల్లోలితమైన మనస్సు కలవాడై రథమునందు కూర్చుండిపోయెను.
🌷. భాష్యము :
శత్రుసైన్యము నందలి పరిస్థితిని పరిశీలించినపుడు అర్జునుడు రథమునందు నిలబడియే యుండెను. కాని పిదప అతడు శోకముచే మిగుల నొచ్చి ధనుర్బాణములను పడవైచి రథమునందు తిరిగి కూర్చుండిపోయెను. అటువంటి దయ మరియు మృదుహృదయము కలిగి శ్రీకృష్ణభగవానుని భక్తియుక్తసేవ యందు నిలిచిన మనుజుడే ఆత్మజ్ఞానమును స్వీకరించుటకు అర్హుడై యున్నాడు.
శ్రీమద్భగవద్గీత యందలి “కురుక్షేత్రరణరంగమున సైనికపరిశీలనము” అను ప్రథమాధ్యాయమునకు భక్తివేదాంత భాష్యము సమాప్తము.

🌴 Chapter 1 - Vishada Yoga - 47 🌴
47. sañjaya uvāca
evam uktvārjunaḥ saṅkhye
rathopastha upāviśat
visṛjya sa-śaraṁ cāpaṁ
śoka-saṁvigna-mānasaḥ
🌷 Translation :
Sañjaya said: Arjuna, having thus spoken on the battlefield, cast aside his bow and arrows and sat down on the chariot, his mind overwhelmed with grief.
🌷 Purport :
While observing the situation of his enemy, Arjuna stood up on the chariot, but he was so afflicted with lamentation that he sat down again, setting aside his bow and arrows. Such a kind and soft-hearted person, in the devotional service of the Lord, is fit to receive self-knowledge.
Thus end the Bhaktivedanta Purports to the First Chapter of the Śrīmad Bhagavad-gītā in the matter of Observing the Armies on the Battlefield of Kurukṣetra.
