53. అహంకారం బలం దర్పం కామం క్రోధం పరిగ్రహమ్ |
విముచ్య నిర్మమ: శాన్తో బ్రహ్మభూయాయకల్పతే ||
🌷. తాత్పర్యం :
మిథ్యాహంకారము, మిథ్యాబలము, మిథ్యాగర్వము, కామము, క్రోధము, విషయవస్తుస్వీకారము అనువాని నుండి విడివడినవాడును, మమత్వదూరుడును, శాంతిమయుడును అగు మనుజుడు నిశ్చయముగా ఆత్మానుభవస్థాయికి ఉద్ధరింపగలడు.
🌷. భాష్యము :
మనుజుడు భౌతికభావన నుండి మక్తుడైనపుడు శాంతిమయుడై కలతకు గురికాకుండును. ఈ విషయము భగద్గీత (2.70 ) యందే వివరింపబడినది.
ఆపూర్వమాణం అచలప్రతిష్టమ్ సముద్ర మాప: ప్రవిశన్తి యద్వత్ |
తద్వత్ కామాయం ప్రవిశన్తి సర్వే స శాన్తి మాప్నోతి న కామకామీ ||
“సదా పూరింపబడుచున్నను నిశ్చలముగా నుండి సముద్రమునందు నదులు ప్రవేశించు రీతి తన యందు కోరికలు నిరంతరము ప్రవేశించుచున్నను ఆ ప్రవాహముచే కలతనొందనివాడే శాంతిని పొందగలడు. కోరికలను తీర్చుకొన యత్నించువాడు అట్టి శాంతిని పొంద సమర్థుడు కాజాలడు.”

🌴 Chapter 18 - Moksha Sanyasa Yoga - The Perfection of Renunciation - 53 🌴
53. ahaṅkāraṁ balaṁ darpaṁ
kāmaṁ krodhaṁ parigraham
vimucya nirmamaḥ śānto
brahma-bhūyāya kalpate
🌷 Translation :
Who is detached, free from false ego, false strength, false pride, lust, anger, and acceptance of material things, free from false proprietorship, and peaceful – such a person is certainly elevated to the position of self-realization.
🌹 Purport :
When one is free from the material conception of life, he becomes peaceful and cannot be agitated. This is described in Bhagavad-gītā (2.70):
āpūryamāṇam acala-pratiṣṭhaṁ
samudram āpaḥ praviśanti yadvat
tadvat kāmā yaṁ praviśanti sarve
sa śāntim āpnoti na kāma-kāmī
“A person who is not disturbed by the incessant flow of desires – that enter like rivers into the ocean, which is ever being filled but is always still – can alone achieve peace, and not the man who strives to satisfy such desires.”
