ఇజ్యతే భరతశ్రేష్ఠ తం యజ్ఞం విద్ధి రాజసమ్ ||
🌷. తాత్పర్యం :
ఓ భరతశ్రేష్టా! ఏదేని ఒక భౌతికలాభము కొరకు లేదా ఆడంబరము కొరకు నిర్వహింపబడు యజ్ఞము రజోగుణప్రధానమైనదని యెరుగుము.
🌷. భాష్యము :
కొన్నిమార్లు యజ్ఞములు మరియు ఆచారకర్మలు ఉన్నతలోక ప్రాప్తి కొరకు లేదా ఈ జగమున ఏదేని భౌతికలాభము కొరకు ఒనరించబడుచుండును. అట్టి యజ్ఞములు లేదా ఆచారకర్మలు రజోగుణ ప్రధానములైనవిగా భావింపబడును.

12. abhisandhāya tu phalaṁ
dambhārtham api caiva yat
ijyate bharata-śreṣṭha
taṁ yajñaṁ viddhi rājasam
🌷 Translation :
But the sacrifice performed for some material benefit, or for the sake of pride, O chief of the Bhāratas, you should know to be in the mode of passion.
🌹 Purport :
Sometimes sacrifices and rituals are performed for elevation to the heavenly kingdom or for some material benefits in this world. Such sacrifices or ritualistic performances are considered to be in the mode of passion.
