07. ఆహారస్త్వపి సర్వస్య త్రివిధో భవతి ప్రియ: |
యజ్ఞస్తపస్తథా దానం తేషాం భేదమిమం శ్రుణు ||
🌷. తాత్పర్యం :
త్రిగుణముల ననుసరించి మనుజుడు భుజించు ఆహారము కూడా మూడు విధములుగా నున్నది. అట్లే యజ్ఞము, దానము, తపస్సులు కూడా మూడువిధములుగా నున్నవి. ఇప్పుడు వాటి నడుమగల బేధమును ఆలకింపుము.
🌷. భాష్యము :
ప్రకృతి త్రిగుణముల యందలి వివిధ స్థితుల ననుసరించి ఆహారము, యజ్ఞాచరణము, తపస్సు, దానములందు భేదములు గలవు. అవి ఎన్నడును ఒకే స్థాయిలో ఒనరింపబడవు.
ఏ కర్మలు ఏ గుణములో నిర్వహింపబడుచున్నవనెడి విషయమును విశ్లేషణాత్మకముగా అవగాహన చేసికొనినవాడే వాస్తవమునకు బుద్ధిమంతుడు అట్లుగాక అన్ని రకములైన ఆహారములు, యజ్ఞములు, దానములు సమానమేయని భావించుచు భేదమును గాంచవారలు మూఢులనబడుదురు.
మనుజుడు తోచినదెల్ల చేయుచునే పూర్ణత్వమును పొందవచ్చునని ప్రచారము చేయు ప్రచారకులు సైతము కొందరు గలరు. అట్టి మూఢప్రచారకులు శాస్త్రనిర్దేశానుసారము వర్తించునట్టివారు కారు. తమకు తోచిన మార్గమును సృష్టించుచు వారు జనులను మోసగించుచున్నారు.

🌴 Chapter 17 - The Divisions of Faith - 07 🌴
07. āhāras tv api sarvasya
tri-vidho bhavati priyaḥ
yajñas tapas tathā dānaṁ
teṣāṁ bhedam imaṁ śṛṇu
🌷 Translation :
Even the food each person prefers is of three kinds, according to the three modes of material nature. The same is true of sacrifices, austerities and charity. Now hear of the distinctions between them.
🌹 Purport :
In terms of different situations in the modes of material nature, there are differences in the manner of eating and performing sacrifices, austerities and charities. They are not all conducted on the same level.
Those who can understand analytically what kind of performances are in what modes of material nature are actually wise; those who consider all kinds of sacrifice or food or charity to be the same cannot discriminate, and they are foolish.
There are missionary workers who advocate that one can do whatever he likes and attain perfection. But these foolish guides are not acting according to the direction of the scripture. They are manufacturing ways and misleading the people in general.
